Briefly Slacker Radio set to launch ondemand service

Slacker Radio is set to launch an on-demand service after receiving a $3 million cash injection in debt funding. "Slacker had a great 2010 and tweaked their business to make it float," a rep told Yahoo! . "The funding will help to further our automotive efforts," meaning that Slacker may soon appear in cars as well.

Further, as Slacker has a licence that permits it to cache music, it will gain a competitive edge over services offered by SoundCloud, RootMusic and Pandora as it won�t require a constant streaming connection to work.......
