Thinfilm chip could lead to ultracheap sensors NFC tags

Thinfilm and PARC together have built a new type of printable memory that could lead to near ubiquitous data tags. Just called Addressable Memory, the CMOS memory and transistors are printed out on to very thin plastic, not silicon. When combined with a sensor, they can be printed in as many as three million units at a time, leading to sensors that cost just a few cents each instead of a few dollars for an RFID tag.......
