Election 2010 Texas Governor Perry Under 50

The latest Rasmussen Reports telephone survey of Likely Voters in Texas now finds Perry with 48% of the vote, while Democratic challenger Bill White picks up 40% support.

Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and eight percent (8%) are undecided.

Anna Little hangs by a thread in NJ6

Little, the Certified Constitutional Candidate (C3) in District 6, clung to a slender lead of less than 100 votes as of 8:13 a.m., and refused to concede defeat until every vote was counted. If the lead holds, she will be the only Tea Party-inspired candidate in New Jersey to beat "The Line."

Poll Over half at Tax Day protest wouldnt vote for Palin

Politico reports on a new poll: "Among the respondents, the two prominent figureheads polarize.

Fifty-three percent of those surveyed said they would not even consider voting for Palin if she ran for president in 2012; 59 percent said the same thing of Paul."

Congress Finishes Health Care ReformFor Good This Time

They're done.

For good, this time.Tonight, the House took Congress' final health care vote, when it passed a reconciliation bill fixing problems with the reforms that President Obama signed into law on Tuesday. The final tally was 220-207. The changes will take effect as soon as Obama signs the fixes package into law, which could come tomorrow.

Jim Bunning R KY Repeatedly Blocks Jobless Benefits

Jim Bunning, a Republican from Kentucky, is single-handedly blocking Senate action needed to prevent an estimated 1.2 million American workers from suddenly losing their unemployment benefits next month.

As Democratic senators asked again and again for unanimous consent for a vote on a 30-day extension Thursday night, Bunning refused to go along.

US Senate passed an 871 billion health care reform plan

Washington (CNN) -- The Senate has started the final day of deliberations on passage of a sweeping $871 billion health care bill.

A vote is expected shortly after 7 a.m. ET.The Senate health care bill cleared a third and final procedural hurdle Wednesday as Democrats successfully limited remaining debate time on the $871 billion measure.
