Ed Markey BP Lying Or Incompetent About Scope Of Oil Leak

Ed Markey (D-Mass.), chairman of a House energy committee investigating the oil spill, slammed BP's response to the disaster in an appearance on "Face The Nation" Sunday morning.

He suggested that the oil company has misled the public about the magnitude of the spill, and warned the public not to trust what the company is saying.

Even as a House Democratic leader admitted that Democrats are still lacking votes, White House press secretary Robert Gibbs proclaimed on CBS' "Face the Nation" that "this is the week" that the House will pass the Senate's health-care reform bill.
