America has turned down help from around 30 countries and international organizations. Obama has dismissed miracle cures from Croatia, barges from Sweden, and containment boom from various obscure allies, according to the State Department. Belgium? Denied! Israel? Denied! Qatar? Denied!
Turkey's attempts to mediate Iran's nuclear standoff with the West have evolved into an aggressive effort to forestall new U.N. sanctions.
The assertive campaign is placing Turkey in opposition to longtime allies Israel and the United States.
It also raises the question of whether NATO's only Muslim member is becoming less of a bridge between East

In the military establishments of more than 30 countries, including U.S. allies such as Israel, Canada and the United Kingdom, gays and lesbians are allowed to openly serve in their countrys military.
Its just not a big issue out there in much of the Western world.
