The central peak is 9.3 miles wide and rises 1.24 miles from the crater floor.
Earlier this June, NASA pointed their Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter spacecrafts cameras at the Tycho crater on the moon. Theyve just published a few gorgeous photos of Tychos central peak. According to NASA, the crater itself is about 51 miles in diameter.
