Samsung made a bold move when it decided to launch its Galaxy S smartphone on every major carrier.
The goal, Samsung said, was to ship 10 million units by the end of the year, and the company's nearly done it, InformationWeek reports.To date, Samsung says it's sold 9.3 million Galaxy S devices, an impressive number in its own right. But get this. The company's also sold more than 2 million Galaxy S phones in its home country of Korea, the first phone ever to record those numbers over there and eclipsing the iPhone 4, which has sold 1.8 million units.
