June Job Losses at 125000 But Jobless Rate Falls to 95

The US economy lost 125,000 jobs in June, more than expected, as as thousands of temporary census jobs ended and private hiring grew less than expected.

But the unemployment rate unexpectedly fell to 9.5% from 9.7%.

Unemployment Falls in 34 States

Today, the Labor Department announced that the unemployment rate fell in 34 states from March to April, did not change in 10 states and rose in six.
