Monitored Sex Offender Kills Teen Girl

Darrin Sanford was convicted in 1998 of luring minors with sexual motivation, and was sentenced to probation.

After release from jail in January, following a probation violation, Sanford was fitted with a GPS tracking unit. Sanford was wearing the device when he tried to rape Licy Nipp before beating and stabbing her to death.
