Shocker Tea Party GOP Beliefs Identical

From Gallup comes the latest bit of news suggesting the tea party isn't as revolutionary as its members like to think: When asked what they considered "extremely serious threats" to the country's future wellbeing, tea partiers cited the exact same things as run-of-the-mill Republicans.

GOP Bad Dream Birther Orly Taitz Could Win Calif Primary

CA Republicans optimistic about their prospects in Nov. could have a problem after the votes are counted in Tuesdays primaries - a statewide ticket with the so-called Birther Queen� as one of their candidates.

Taitz is running against Damon Dunn, an African-American former professional football player who's run a less-than-stellar campaign.

GOP demands Holder appoint SpecialProsecutor on Sestak bribe

In a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder today, all seven Republicans on the Senate Judiciary Committee "urge the appointment of a special prosecutor to investigate Congressman Joe Sestak's claim that a White House official offered him a job to induce him to exit the Pennsylvania Senate primary race against Senator Arlen Specter."

Johnson charged more than $1 million on his card and converted his AmEx points into miles just before being fired from the party in January.

Greer charged about $500,000 and also cashed in points for miles. He once charged $9,468 for hotel and limousine service on a two-day Washington trip.

Boehner GOP Will Repeal Health Care Law

The House Republican leader tells NPR that if his party wins a majority in November's midterm elections, they will replace the law with "common-sense steps" to lower health insurance costs.

The top conservative activist on the powerful Texas Board of Education, who rejects evolution and has pushed a revisionist right-wing U.S. history curriculum, is on the way out, after a moderate candidate defeated him in a tight GOP primary last week.

Thomas Ratliff edged out Don McLeroy 50.4%-49.6% for the seat McLeroy has held since 1999.
