Obama should abandon his pledge not to raise taxes

Barack Obama, during his presidential campaign, repeated over and over that, if elected, he would not raise income taxes or any other taxes on American families whose income was less than $250,000.

For the good of the country, and the economic priorities of his own party, Obama should now abandon that pledge.
